Work Experience

Minimum of  5 years’ experience in a major bakery chain or bake shop.

Personal Qualities

Excellent communication skills.

Focus on flexibility in resolving problems and conflicts.

Well organized and active attitude.

Qualifications

Certificate or TESDA qualification in food science, bakery production or related field.

Basic Function

Production of quality bread, cakes and pastries that cater to the customer tastes and generate sales for the supermarket.

Responsible for the operation of the  bakery production, following proper management procedures and the policies set out by the directors.

Maximize total sales and profit margin by focusing on customer service, excellent quality of products and affordable pricing.

Main Duties

  1. Set out responsibilities for different  staff to ensure co-ordination and efficiency

      between various sections.

  1. Ensure proper records  and data entry of stock movement, sales and other

      important data required by admin.

  1. Train, discipline  and support staff in all aspects of bakery skills production to achieve sales increases and customer satisfaction.
  2. Provide  commercial and operational advice to senior management on all aspects of  bakery operation, sales and planning.
  3. Organize promotions and produce specialties to generate interest and attract new customers.
  4. Improve and maintain the efficiency, quality and hygiene of the bakery section – staff, equipment and procedures.
  5. Planning operational and sales budget  for weekly and monthly review.
  6. Responsible for the production of original baking products such as Croissant, French Bread, Vienna, Muffin, Pineapple Carrot Bars, Cheese Cupcakes, Hard Cookies, Cream Cheese Brownies, Madeleine, Chocolate Loaf Cake, Pineapple Cinnamon Roll, Almond Cupcakes, Devil’s Food Cupcakes, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Carrot Bread, White Bread, Raisin Bread, Whole Wheat Bread, Cheese Roll and among others.
