Refrigeration Technician

The international group SEA-Invest nv, headquartered in Ghent-Zeehaven, specialises in the storage and transshipment of bulk goods (dry & liquid) and fruit in seaports in Europe and Africa.

In Belgium, SEA-Invest is active in the seaports of Antwerp, Ghent and Zeebrugge, loading, unloading and temporary storage of goods at approximately 20 sites on behalf of its customers.

These goods vary from coal, ores, minerals, biomass…(dry bulk) to petrol, gas oil, biodiesel, natural oils…(liquid bulk) and bananas, kiwis, …

For our fruit division Belgian New Fruit Wharf (BNFW) in Antwerp we are looking for a motivated, skilled and dynamic:

COOL TECHNICAL (m/f)

Functional description: Within BNFW, the technical department is responsible for the operational maintenance, modification and improvement of all equipment specific to the transhipment and handling of fruit.

As a member of a team of refrigeration engineers you are responsible for failure interventions + mechanical/electrical maintenance of industrial refrigeration installations; take the initiative for renovation and improvement projects relating to these installations.

Profile:

You have a good general technical knowledge and a broad technical field of interest;

You are eager to learn, stress resistant, take initiative;

You have a TSO diploma or degree in refrigeration technology, preferably in possession of the certificate of competence in the refrigeration technology category I or you are prepared to obtain this.

You are familiar with refrigeration measurement and control processes, any knowledge or experience with automatic and PLC controls including Siemens S7/Win CC is an additional asset, however, not a necessity.

Knowledge of NH³ installations is a plus

You have a basic knowledge of electricity (low voltage) and above all you can work independently;

You are flexible: you work in a one-day regime, after an introductory period you are willing to provide technical assistance in a standby shift with weekend permanence and rotation;

You can express yourself well orally in Dutch
