Job Description

  • Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate,
  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Quebec.
  • Must be a graduate of any related technical / vocational course with minimum of 4 years related work experience;
  • Must be able to adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck transportation systems;
  • Must have knowledge on diagnostics, repair and troubleshooting of ABS Break System and engine codes;
  • Preferably with experience on the repair of various types of tractor trucks / 10-12 wheeler trucks, etc.;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Has an ability to communicate in English.

Main duties

  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems.
  • Workers in this unit group may specialize in the following areas: engine and fuel systems, transmission systems, air conditioning, cooling and heating systems, steering, alignment, brakes, drive lines, suspension, electrical and electronic systems, truck-trailer repair or diagnostic services.
